This certification validates that the technical presales consultant has a comprehensive understanding and competency of the overall solutions and products that support HP Virtualization, Adaptive Infrastructure, and Data Center solutions.  The certification covers a comprehensive server, storage and virtual client solution focus, rather than individual products.

HP virtualization solutions now span from the desktop to the data center.  This certification and the associated training are designed to help the channel partner technical presales consultant increase the effective designs of virtualization solutions that support HP server, storage and desktop hardware as the foundation. 
 
The successful candidate is expected to have the following competencies:
  Virtualization concepts, including the business benefits
  HP server virtualization technologies, including HP BladeSystem, ProLiant and Integrity servers
  HP storage virtualization technologies
  HP desktop (client) virtualization technologies
  HP virtualization infrastructure management software, including HP System Insight Manager (HP SIM) and HP Ignite-UX 
  HP virtualization services
 
Using the above competencies, the presales technical consultant can design and plan a solution based on the customer’s business needs.

The candidate for this certification must already possess 1 prerequisite certification and must successfully complete 1 core requirement exam.

Prerequisite:  
Either 1 of the following prerequisites is required:
  APP – HP Commercial SMB Solutions [2006] -or
  APP – HP Enterprise Solutions -or-
  APP - HP Enterprise Solutions [2010]

Core Requirement: 
Complete one of the following:
Exam HP0-D11: Designing HP Virtualization Solutions

Exam HP0-D05: Designing HP Virtualization
